Daily maintenance of display racks is crucial for ensuring they remain in good condition and extending their lifespan. Here are some suggestions for daily maintenance of display racks:

Basic Cleaning Steps

Prepare Cleaning Tools: Choose a clean, soft cloth or towel. Avoid using rough or abrasive fabrics to prevent scratching the surface of the display rack.

Remove Dust: Gently wipe the surface of the display rack with a dry cloth to remove dust and debris. For stubborn dust, use a slightly damp cloth to gently wipe.

Treat Stains: For stubborn stains, use a suitable amount of water or a neutral detergent to clean. Avoid using acidic or alkaline cleaners, as these may damage the surface of the display rack. For wooden or painted display racks, toothpaste (a small amount squeezed onto a soft cloth) can be used to remove stains, but avoid excessive force that could scratch the surface.

Maintenance for Display Racks of Different Materials

Wooden Display Racks:

Maintain moderate indoor humidity to prevent wooden display racks from swelling and warping due to excessive humidity or cracking due to insufficient humidity.

Regularly maintain wood display racks with wood conditioner or wax to preserve their shine and extend their lifespan.

Metal Display Racks:

For iron display racks, pay special attention to rust prevention. Outdoor iron display racks should be made of rust-resistant, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant materials, and wiped regularly to remove dust and water droplets. Indoor iron display racks should be protected from bumps and scratches.

For stainless steel display racks, avoid using cleaners containing chloride ions, as these can corrode the stainless steel surface.

Glass Display Racks:

Use a soft cloth or a dedicated glass cleaner for cleaning. Avoid using rough cloths or scrapers to prevent scratching the glass surface.

Regularly check the connections between the glass and the metal frame for looseness; tighten any loose connections promptly.

Fabric Display Racks:

Use a vacuum cleaner or soft-bristled brush to remove dust. Avoid using a damp cloth to wipe, as this may damage the fabric.

For cleaning, a small amount of carpet cleaner can be sprayed onto a damp cloth and wiped.

Special Care Required

Removing Watermarks: For watermarks on painted display racks, place a clean, damp cloth over the watermark and iron it at a low temperature. This will evaporate the moisture that has seeped into the paint film, removing the watermark. However, be careful not to use a cloth that is too thin, and the iron temperature should not be too high to avoid damaging the surface of the display rack.

Handling Loose Screws: Regularly check the screws on the display rack for looseness. If any are loose, tighten them promptly to ensure the stability of the display rack.

Daily Precautions

Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading, cracking, and other damage to the display rack surface. Therefore, avoid placing the display rack in direct sunlight as much as possible.

Avoid Placing Heavy Objects: Do not place excessively heavy items on the display rack to avoid damaging or deforming it.

Regular Maintenance: Regular cleaning and maintenance of the display rack can help identify and address potential problems promptly, extending its lifespan.
